"Sweet Tooth Pastry Series" is here, with beers inspired by various desserts.
The first part of the series is Exotic Cupcake, with apricot, mangoe, mandarine, a hint of vanilla and cocoa beans. Lactose (milk sugar) was also added to the wort, to achieve a sweet-sour balance.
It looks like an orange smoothie, characterized by an opaque, bright yellow color with solid foam.
The aroma is led by apricot and mangoe, with a bit of citrus in the background, some vanilla and cocoa also appear. Cocoa's thrill gives a nice depth to the aroma.
The taste is a bit sweet, but basically it's sour-emphasised. At the beginning of the sip there is a flood of apricot-mango, supported by vanilla notes, whereas the aftertaste is most intensely dominated by mandarine. Tart and extremely fruity closure with a dense, almost creamy sip feel. Full-bodied beer, but it's also an easy-to-drink one. (5% ABV).
