The newest member of the Hungarian Terroir series is here!
This time we visited the Villány wine region once again and created the Spontan Merlot 2018 together with Tamás Lelovits. This beer was also fermented spontaneously with the microorganisms on the Merlot grape skins, and the fermentation ended in wine barrels. After the fermentation, the beer rested in the barrels for another 2 years, and the result is a super exciting wild ale.
When poured, we get a bronze-colored, slightly astringent and sour drink, the aroma and taste are dominated by fruity-funky notes with a little wood in the background. Perhaps the most balanced item in the series so far.
