We invite you to a real time travel. This year, we brewed not only a
fresh hoppy IPA, but also a lager with hops grown on Vál estate of
Uradalmi Sörmanufaktúra. Plus, we used a very special variety for this
beer, the mysterious F-8.
F-8 is a Hungarian hop variety that was destroyed together with the
State Farm of Bóly. Sándor Cseh PhD, to whose name the variety is
attached, he saved one rootstock before destruction and took it home for
emotional reasons. The variety was cultivated in 2018 by Uradalmi. Hop
Harvest Lager 2020 is the first beer made exclusively using F-8 hop.
If you are interested in what an old Hungarian hop variety knows, give it a try. Only 1000l of beer was brewed.
