Second part of Hungarian Terroir made for the 10th Anniversary Borefts Festival. The organizers (De Molen) give a theme, which should be used for brewing, dedicating the result for the actual festival. Yesteryear we had to make a stout with 9 different elements determined previously be De Molen, but the tenth element was our choice. After a short brainstorming we decided to make the stout with Blaufrankisch grape variety coming from Pfneiszl Winery of Sopron. We designed the beer together with Pfneiszl sisters. We added some premium Blaufrankisch wine to the sout and we aged the mixture in 225 liter oak for months. The beer is awesome! And amazing! Deep dark colour, massive beige foam, extremely thick and creamy texture, lightly carbonated. Roasted barley, coffee, dark chocolate in the aroma and taste, while Blaufrankisch grape's acidity balances out malty and alcohol sweetness.
