Los Rodriguez is an Imperial Coffee Stout that, remember Mange Tak?, was made in collaboration with the famous Danish micro roastery, Coffee Collective. It’s a dense and oily Imperial Stout, to which we added a large amount of Bolivian coffee beans in two steps. The slightly tart acidity, orange blossom and strawberry aromas of the coffee complete the stout with it’s roasted and dark chocolate flavors very nicely. In addition to the coffee beans, we also added a couple of very lightly roasted Hungarian barrel staves in the fermentation tank. The staves smuggled a hint of “vanilla” into the beer, made this stout really round.
